The Village Hall will be closed from the evening of Thursday 23rd of December 2021 and will reopen on Tuesday morning, the 4th of January 2022. During this period there are no bookings and the hall is not available for hire. This is to give staff and committee a chance for a good break. We wish all our hires a very Merry Christmas and a happy 2022.

A lovely traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings

26 diners, plus the 6 helpers and two entertainers for lunch. Absent friends were toasted.

We now enter into our 12th year of the monthly luncheon club!

Currently there are no places available to new diners.

We want to inspire people to join forces to clear litter, including single-use plastic, from our streets, hedges, verges and footpaths, recycling as much as possible.

Will you help Essendine Parish Council clean up our village and declare that litter pollution – which degrades the beauty of our environment and threatens to harm wildlife?

SATURDAY JULY 7th 2018 FROM 5pm

A live band called Filthy Contact is booked. They will play music from the 60s to the present day.

There will be food, a licensed bar and ice cream on sale.

Our Guide groups will also be organising a variety of games and activities to raise money for their funds.

The organisers hope villagers will want to get involved and invite friends and family to come along. They are always looking for new ideas and would welcome yours!
They also need villagers to volunteer to help on the night please.
